Blog EntryThe Posture of a RevivalistOct 25, '06 10:49 AM
for everyone
The ministry of a revivalist is never mentioned directly in the bible. However the revivalist is one whom God calls to bring awakening or revival in the land during times of darkness. One such example is Elijah. He was used by God to bring down fire at Mount Carmel and to turn the hearts of the people back to Jehovah God. Some revivalist however are not seen in the thick of action. They are the ones whom God used to pray in the background for revival to take place. Charles Finney was known by many to be a mighty revivalist. However behind Finney was a man named Father Nash who was an intercessor. Many believed it was Father Nash's prayer that made Finney such a successful revivalist.

God always raise up revivalist in times of darkness. In the book of Judges, God raised up revivalist in times of darkness. I believed that we are living in one of the darkest hour in the history of mankind and at such a time like this God will raise up revivalist for His church. In a time of prayer the Spirit highlighted to me the Posture of a Revivalist.
