One of the key person whom God used in the Hebrides Revival of 1942 was a 84 years old lady who was almost blind. One day she saw a vision of the church filled with young people. The church in Lewis was going through a decline and emptied of young people. After receiving the vision, she went to the pastor of the parish and told him, you have tried every means to get young people to the church, why not try God now. The pastor meekly agreed to start a prayer meeting every tuesday and Friday of the week. The old lady said," If you would do that, I will commit myself to pray on my knees every Tuesday and Thursday from 10pm to 4 am." The Revival broke out soon after.
1. This old lady saw the possibilities of Revival.
Some who can see are blind, but some who are blind are able to see the visions for Revival.
2. She saw it and she made the decision to pursue Revival on her knees.
Her commitment in prayer will put most of us to shame.
I pray that we too may be able to see the possibilities of revival. This generation of young people is involved in more vice, more immorality, more materialism than any other generation.They are devoid of love, and the security of a complete family. I see the possibilities of Revival and I want to pursue it, challenging people to pray for revival, stirring up hunger for revival and paying the price on my knees for the greatest outpouring of the Spirit.
